An intellectually challenging, horizon-bending 3-day workshop that teaches how to develop a personal narrative and express it in a variety of media.
Everyone has a story to tell. Every moment of every day of every year of our existence on this planet is a progressive unfolding of OUR story - past, present, and future. From Lascaux Cave painters to Michaelangelo—to you—all people throughout all of history have this in common - we each have a story to tell. This workshop teaches artists how to access their own narrative, and give it a voice, relevance, and expression. It employs the painted, drawn, or applied image (both abstract and representational), as well as dimensional elements in quasi-assemblage and unique mixed media applications. Then it trains the artist to find and express meaning and a narrative surrounding their work by inviting subconscious, divine, and human interactivity to both inform and complete the picture.
This workshop is open to all ages and skill levels—including advanced—but some familiarity with basic art mediums and studio practices is recommended.
The enrollment fee covers attendance at the masterclass. An additional materials fee of $25 will be due at the first class.
Enrollment Fee: $350
